Dear Friend of MHAGC,
Just how important is Mental Health America of Greenville County to families like yours?  The 2009 survey of people who have used our services showed overwhelmingly that they benefited emotionally; they made gains in feeling part of a community, making friends, and in their overall quality of life and sense of well being.  More than 70% of respondents said they had more positive relationships with their families.

WE'RE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We believe everyone should be able to fulfill their potential — and not limit themselves on what that potential can be.  That's why our programs help build confidence — whether it's through public education on mental illness awareness, depression screenings, CRISISline, TEENline, (which are open 24/7) Reassurance Line, providing our Consumers with a home, or SOS (Survivors of Suicide) a program which helps people re-enter life after a shattering life experience.  We know that the more people who get involved in their own wellness and recovery, the more successful it is.

Clearly, we are making a big difference — and now we need you to make a difference for us.  We need your help to keep our programs flourishing while state budgets are tightening.

In fact, when economic times are tough, MHAGC's services are needed most of all.  Calls to our CRISISline from people seeking help are up over 50%.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOO

As someone who's taken an interest in MHAGC, we're asking you to make a year-end donation so that our programs can not only continue, but grow.  A tax-deductible contribution of $100 — just a little over .27 cents a day for the year — can make a dramatic difference to the people we serve.  Of course, any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated and will help change lives for the better.

If you have a car, whether it runs or not, we will take it.  This will give you a 100% tax write off and allow us to sell the car for additional funds.

From all of us at MHAGC, we wish you and your loved ones a happy and joyous Holiday Season and our best wishes for a healthy, prosperous and generous New Year.
